Photocopies by John Berger

Photocopies by John Berger

Photocopies is little glimpses of John Berger’s life, his adventures, & stories told to him, collected into short stories that do seem rather like Photocopies. I did enjoy this book, a little less than his To The Wedding, but more than most books I read these days. The first outing, which deals with the blurry cover picture, did confuse me somewhat, but that could have been another flare of yet an additional migraine. It seems his way of writing, his unique style, takes me a few chapters/stories to get used to then I’m all his. This is not to say they are poorly written, by far not, just that they are more creative than I’m usually confronted with. I WILL definitely read more of his books, probably re-reading his A Painter of Our Time soon.

4 out of 5 - if I am to grade this compilation.
